Google unveils new $999 smart glasses for businesses on MAY 20, 2019. This price is not lovely at all for individual consumers. In this article, we will introduce you 5 cost-effective smart glasses to meet the needs of individual users.
1. Snap Spectacles 2.0
Spectacles are smartglasses dedicated to recording 10 seconds of video and take photo for the Snapchat service. They feature a camera lens and are capable of recording short video segments and syncing with a smartphone to upload to the user's online account.
The young person's choice of smartglasses, Snap's second-generation Spectacles improve upon the original in worthy ways. Don't worry about getting them wet either, as the second-gen Specs are water resistant.
Cons:You'll only be able to share your photos and video to the Snapchat app.
2. Tweetie Smart Glasses
There's no AR here. Instead, Tweetie glasses use bone conduction tech so you can enjoy music and radio with open-ear design and premium eye protection.
It is worth mentioning that Tweetie is the first smart glasses equipped with head gesture control, which enables you take calls, switch songs, adjust volume by shaking or nodding your head. In other words, you don't need to take your phone out of your pocket to control it.
In addition to that, it offers real-time navigation and is compatible with Bluetooth. If you are a traveler, cycling enthusiast or that person always on the go, Tweetie is the best smart eyewear for you.
Cons: Current version is not equipped with fitness trackers.

3. Jins MEME Glasses
If you thought fitness trackers were the only gadgets that could track your fitness and fatigue levels, please think again. The Jins MEME Smart Glasses are more of a health and fitness tracker that comes with doctor-related apps to monitor your fatigue and fitness levels.
Besides, Ithe Jins MEME Digital Eye Glasses feature an accelerometer and a Gyroscope to track your body axis to improve posture.
Cons: For health gadgets, it's perfect. For entertainment, it provides nothing.
4. Everysight Raptor
Israel-based outfit Everysight has taken its years of expertise built its own smart AR smartglasses for cyclists.
With smartphone-like internals, the Raptors use an OLED-based projector system to provide the display, which along with a host of onboard sensors can show mapping data, heart rate information and other ride info.
There's also a camera to offer action-cam-style footage and voice commands to use the specs hands-free. Everysight launched the Raptor smartglasses last August and the company is now working on encouraging developers to build applications for the platform.
Cons: Music downloaded to the Raptor plays through a small built-in speaker that sounds tinny.
5. Epson Moverio BT-300FPV - for Drone Control
The Moverio BT-300FPV smart glasses allow you to see exactly what your drone sees. Having an incredible first-person view (FPV), they project a transparent display that not only lets you view a drone's video feed, but also monitor its key flight statistics, all while keeping the UAV in sight. A 5MP front-facing camera records Full HD (1080p) footage of the drone from the pilot's point of view, while the display offers 1280 x 720 pixels of resolution and has a 23-degree field of view. Weighing a mere 2.5 ounces, the Epson Moverio BT-300FPV are the world's lightest Si-OLED powered binocular smart glasses.
Epson's Moverio BT-300FPV are compatible with many of DJI's drones, including the Spark, Mavic Pro, Phantom 3, Phantom 4, Inspire 1, Inspire 2, and Matrice 100.
Cons: You cant see the edge-to-edge image which is mandatory for flying a drone.
